Spiritual Disciplines

Hello friends,
I am looking for resources concerning spiritual disciplines. We are going to be starting a sermon series on spiritual disciplines and I am looking for books, websites, other messages, stories, really anything pertaining to spiritual disciplines (prayer, meditation, fasting, study, solitude, etc.)
Leave me some comments. Link to anything you’ve got. Even if you have a certain discipline you do that may not make it into any resource I’d like to hear about it.

Somebody recommended “A Celebration of Discipline” by Richard Foster to me. I only have flipped through it, but it is probably worth checking out. Books.google.com has a preview.

Thanks Josh. I read that book in college, and it has been one of the most influential books I have read since my conversion. I’d suggest it to anyone seeking to get a better handle on spiritual disciplines.

I am developing a sermon series and small group study for our church as well. We are beginning to build a new church facility and I’ve been thinking of desiging it in a way that makes us think of constucting a solid spiritual life along with our stong building….we need a spiritual toolbox!
Books I’ve looked at so far are Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life from Navpress and John Ortbergs The Life You’ve Always Wanted. Both seem to have a broad appeal so that people at all places in their walk can relate. I personally read Discipleship Journal and get some great articles from there. I will be watching your blog for ideas from others. Praying that God will provide!
